Blog: Post: LET'S TALK ABOUT THE DELTAS!

Most people don’t know that there are two different types of THC, Delta-8 and Delta-9. I'm sure a lot of us are familiar with Delta-9 THC. Which is the naturally occurring chemical found in the cannabis plant that well, 'gets you high'. It's what is responsible for the intense psychoactive effects most people want when they consume it. The Delta-9 that's present in the cannabis plant is usually in high concentrations, so it will get you to your highest level of euphoria, and give you that fuzzy feeling you normally experience when you consume it.

However let's talk about it's new marijuana cousin that came into the public eye a few years ago, Delta-8. Although the cannabis plant has both Delta-8 and Delta-9, the difference between the two, is where on the plant they come from. The Delta-9 comes from the cannabis flower, while Delta-8 comes from hemp. Delta-8 normally also has higher levels of CBD than THC. Delta-8 will still get you high but it's a more subtle high that a lot of people prefer. It also isn't that foreign of a thing either. It has been around since 2003, it just became more popular about two years ago

You can find a lot of Delta-8 products at some of your local gas stations, smoke shops, CBD stores and you can also purchase Delta-8 online as well, from a few trusted sources. It's always suggested to seek out a source that can transparently show that your Delta-8 is as it should be, natural.

The thing about Delta-8 is that it is much easier to get and there are a bit less restrictions when purchasing it. It is currently legal in 30 states, including Washington DC and New Jersey, recreationally.

Delta-8 can also help with things that Delta-9 products can help with, such as anxiety, pain, migraines, nausea, and can help improve focus and concentration. There are also strains from this hemp flower. Some of them are a few you may be familiar with such as, 'Cookies', 'Northern Lights', 'Gorilla Glue', 'OG Kush', 'Sour Diesel', etc. Both Delta-8 & Delta-9 share the similar skunky aroma, and the dried flowers look very familiar.

I personally enjoy smoking and vaping with Delta-8 because it helps with my anxiety and pains while still allowing me to function normally as a mommy throughout my day in a subtle fashion. I think cannabis in general is such an underrated plant and there are so many amazing things this plant can help with. No matter which Delta is your choice, always make sure your familiar with its source.
