The cannabis culture has been facing some inconsistencies for quite some time now. In 2014 the city of DC experienced new freedom when ‘Initiative 71’ was approved and now seven years later it’s back “on the fence” again. Although there are many of us, who recognize how much heart and soul goes into many of these businesses, as well as the many benefits that come from it; there is still a stigma that clouds it. Unfortunately, the mothers (both older and new) struggle with this stigma every day. There are plenty of stoner moms who rise above it and don’t mind lighting one up after a long day, but many are afraid to enjoy this plant for the fear of succumbing to the stigma that surrounds it.
The positive part of this is that there are also subtle ways to enjoy this plant such as in edible form or in tincture form. Tincture form is normally preferred because it’s the most inconspicuous. Cannabis in a subtle form is especially important for busy women or mothers who need a moment for themselves. Honestly, we all deserve that with everything that is expected of us. Tinctures are a great way to enjoy a calm moment of bliss, without the need to worry about the smoke being too obvious or finding a place to ash. There are also many who don’t like the act of packing, rolling, or lighting up, just because it can be time-consuming, and that’s okay too. If you connect to that, tinctures may be the best choice for you. They can discreetly be mixed into your morning coffee or tea. You can also mix it with your salad dressings, soups, sauces, etc. If you prefer to just take it sublingually, you can also find your dose and place it directly under your tongue. The effects of a tincture can normally be felt in as little as 15 minutes. And you can expect the effects to last about two to three hours.
It’s suggested you find your perfect dose by enjoying this from the comfort of your home and waiting until you reach your desired effects. Honestly, the best way to really enjoy cannabis in any form is to be patient. Not everyone’s experiences are identical and that’s okay.
